Thomas C. DeSantis 97, retired New York Central employee, died at his home, 139 West Albany St. retired shortly before midnight Saturday. Born in Campobasso Italy, he came to Oswego 67 years ago and in 1924 retired as a coal trestle helper on the railroad. He was one of the original members and founders of St. Joseph's Catholic church and of St. Joseph society. His wife, Carmela DeSantis, died many years ago. Surviving are three sons; Frank, Samuel T. and Joseph DeSantis; five daughters, Mrs John (Josephine) Pauldine, Mrs. John (Lucy) Musico, Mrs. Michael (Mary) Musa, Mrs John (Anne) Batista, Mrs. John (June) Gentile Oswego, also 56 grandchildren and 68 great grandchildren. Funeral will be held Tuesday morning at the family home, 139 West Albany street at 8:15 and in St. Joseph's church at 9 o'clock. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Thomas C. DeSantis A solemn high Mass of requiem was celebrated for Thomas C. DeSantis whose funeral was held at the family home 139 West Albany St. at 8:15 Tuesday and in St. Joseph's church at 9 o'clock. The Rev Francis J. Furfaro was celebrant of the Mass assisted by the Rev. William H. Kelly, deacon and the Rev. William M. Mersfelder, sub-deacon. Intoning of the Benedictus followed the blessing. Burial was in St. Peter's cemetery where Father Kelly conducted the committal service. The bearers were Alfred DeSantis, Sam Pauldine, Thomas Batista, Phillip DeSantis, Alvin and Thomas Gentile.
